Ultrasonic testing
For ultrasonic testing HELLING offers the following products:
- Various coupling pastes
- Standardised calibration block
- Measuring instruments (see under product group "Measuring instruments")
Other products such as ultrasonic straight beam or angle beam probes can be offered.

Coupling paste
Ultrasonic probes are coupled to the surface of the test object via special coupling means. The coupling paste prevents the formation of an air gap between the probe head and the test object. The air gap would hinder the sound entry into the test object.
Coupling pastes developed by HELLING are water washable. The content of sulfur and halogens is below 50 ppm. They contain corrosion inhibitors and bactericides.
The coupling pastes are available in different colours and for different temperature ranges.
Larger delivery quantities are also available on request.
